Exciting Crocodile Adventures in Outback Australia

Enjoy Outback Crocodile Adventures with bird watching, swimming and walking through green tropical forests.

Join the famous Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River, swim in clear waterfall rock pools or explore shady bushwalks. Our tour will take us through coastal aquatic ecosystems and dry desert landscapes, all part of the Australian Outback.

Crocodile Welcome Smile

The northern coastal area of Australia is a huge, diverse wilderness where the crocodile is king. This is the country made famous by Paul Hogan and his crocodile adventures in the film Crocodile Dundee.

The tropical city of Darwin is the hub of the north and the starting place for Outback Adventures for many people. Almost completely destroyed by tropical cyclone Tracy in 1974, Darwin has grown into a modern community whose people have come from all over the world, attracted by the easy-going tropical lifestyle. Many came here looking for outback adventures with no intention of staying, and somehow just can't bring themselves to leave.
It's that sort of place!

The Northern Territory is one of the largest undeveloped wilderness areas remaining and includes several National Parks such as Kakadu, Litchfield and Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge).
Close to Darwin, the Adelaide River Jumping Crocodile Cruise and the waterfalls of Litchfield Park are special destinations which attract visitors from all over the world. Read the story of their visits, and add your own adventure when you come.

There are only two "official" seasons in the year, the wet season from November to March when monsoonal rains flood the area and the contrasting dry season from April to October when it can be several months between showers.

A better sense of the seasons is provided by the Indigenous Jawoyn people who recognise six seasons;

  • Jiorrk, the wet season (January to February)
  • Bungarung, the end of the rains (March to mid-April)
  • Jungalk, the hot start of the dry period (mid-April to the end of May)
  • Malaparr, the cooler, middle part of the dry (June to the end of August)
  • Worrwopmi, the humid time (September to the end of October)
  • Wakaringding, the humid time when the first rains begin to fall (November until the end of December)

Combined with the rugged terrain of floodplains, tidal mangroves and escarpments, this weather produces a dynamic eco system filled with wildlife and contrasting landscapes.

Whenever you visit, you can be sure
to find a spectacular natural wilderness
of diverse beauty.

So hold your mouse tight and let's
begin an outback crocodile adventure
you won't easily forget.....
