A Birdwatching Vacation Tour in Outback Australia

For a birdwatching vacation experience to remember, Goanna Eco Tours provides one day trips from Darwin to connect with a boat trip to the famous jumping crocodiles, and then on through bushland to visit several waterfalls and natural swimming holes, before heading back to Darwin.

Due to the diversity of habitat travelled, you can expect to see a variety of Australias most spectacular birds. The tour visits wetlands, dry bushland, the creeks and mudbanks of the tidal Adelaide River, wet and dry sclerophyll forest and permanent inland waterholes and waterfalls.

Even those not especially on a birdwatching-vacation will have a chance to see brolga, jabiru, sea eagles and dive bombing brown kites. Flocks of magpie geese, pelicans, cranes and noisy white cockatoos are frequently seen as well as many other smaller birds.

The following letter & photos show just how much can be packed into
this one day birdwatching vacation.

Goanna Eco Tours,

Ian,

Thanks for the great trip, the Goanna Eco Tour was one of the highlights of our Australian Holiday.

The CD enclosed has some of the photos of birds that we saw on the trip, I hope you can use them on the website.

We are planning a return trip in December 07 to see The Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock and NT in the wet, so we may see you again.

Thanks for a great time,

Clive & Gill(uk tourists 4th September 2005)
