A Birdwatching Vacation Tour in Outback Australia
For a birdwatching vacation experience to remember, Goanna Eco Tours provides one day trips from Darwin to connect with a boat trip to the famous jumping crocodiles, and then on through bushland to visit several waterfalls and natural swimming holes, before heading back to Darwin. Due to the diversity of habitat travelled, you can expect to see a variety of Australias most spectacular birds. The tour visits wetlands, dry bushland, the creeks and mudbanks of the tidal Adelaide River, wet and dry sclerophyll forest and permanent inland waterholes and waterfalls. Even those not especially on a birdwatching-vacation will have a chance to see brolga, jabiru, sea eagles and dive bombing brown kites. Flocks of magpie geese, pelicans, cranes and noisy white cockatoos are frequently seen as well as many other smaller birds. The following letter & photos show just how much can be packed into this one day birdwatching vacation.
