Outback Swimming Adventures

Litchfield Park provides outback swimming adventures within a short distance of Darwin, with sparkling waterfalls, clear rockpools and spring-fed creeks in beautiful outback Australian bush settings.

Swimmers enjoy the cool waters of Buley Rockholes. One of the favourites with visitors, access to this beautiful spot is limited to smaller vehicles. While those that travel in large tourist coaches miss out, people using smaller vehicles take advantage of the limited numbers.Buley Swimmers
Wangi Falls is another popular place, with a kiosk and change facilities it is large enough to accommodate the larger coaches. The board walk allows everyone to get close to the falls and experience the lush bush downstream of the falls.

More swimmers negotiate the rocks along the rapids at Buley Rockholes. The high sand stone escarpment collects water in the wet season and slowly filters it into small creeks through the dry season.Buley swim
These clear waters are close enough to Darwin for a cool swim after driving down the Stuart Highway and into Litchfield Park through the township of Batchelor. adventure swim
